2022 Rehearsals begin- New Members Welcome

Chatfield Brass Band Invites New Members

The Chatfield Brass (and woodwind) Band invites new members to join the group as they begin their winter rehearsals on Thursday, Feb. 10th.    Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Chatfield Elementary School band room.  Prospective members are encouraged to visit and join at any time.  Instrumentalists that haven’t played since high school or college will find understanding, fellow musicians who went through the same “lip-building” process when they joined the band. The band is a traditional concert band with woodwinds, brass and percussion. The director of the band is Carmen Narveson, a retired Chatfield music teacher.

When you join the Chatfield Brass Band, you will find a group of musicians of all ages, from all walks of life, who come to the band because they love music, love to play their instruments, and enjoy playing in a quality group that is fun and active. It is a stress-free environment! The yearly schedule for the band includes a Holiday Concert in December, a series of “Concerts in the Park” in the summer, and parades and concerts in surrounding communities.

The Chatfield Brass Band has a 53-year history and is well-known throughout the state. The band plays an active part in the Chatfield community and enjoys the support of the city and community members. As a non-profit corporation, they also own and operate the world-famous Chatfield Music Lending Library. Contact Carmen Narveson at 867-3315 or carmennarveson@gmail.com for more information.
